Meet our Professional Fishing Guides
Dale Eggen
Dale has been professionally fishing Mille Lacs Lake for over ten years, but his experience with the lake dates back to the Seventies when his Father and Grandmother first started to teach him how to fish. “Once they got me started - I was hooked!".
I got my start fishing with a lot of the local old-timers, going anytime they would let me tag along and soon realized it was something I could do myself! Many years of walleye fishing ensued. Today, Dale fishes for all species that swim in the lake and actually guides all across Minnesota and Wisconsin, chasing any species that swims! Dale will guide for: Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, Smallmouth, Perch and Pan fish on Mille Lacs. Any and all methods can and will be used to catch you fish. This will be the second year that Dale will run fly fishing trips for smallmouth and the first year that he will provide fly fishing for muskies as well. Whether you are new to fishing and are looking to learn or whether you are a seasoned pro, Dale will make sure your day on the water is a memorable one.
Dale is also available for trips around the whole state of Minnesota or Wisconsin as he actively fly fishes for Brook, Rainbow and Brown trout and is also available to guide for steelhead on the shores of Lake Superior during annual spring and fall runs!
As with any trips, all gear is provided. All that is recommended to bring is a good pair of sunglasses, snacks, beverages and a can do attitude!

Tim Ajax
Tim is a local guide and raises his family here in Isle, MN. He got hooked on fishing Mille Lacs Lake with his dad as a pup. He has been guiding professionally all species for fifteen years with over three decades of experience. He spends over a hundred days on the water during the open water season.
His strengths as a guide are the ability to fish multiple species: walleye, muskie, northern and smallmouth. In addition, having a fun time and accommodating all types of fishermen from little kids to grandma. He works daily with the best fishermen on the lake to get your group on the best bite possible each day.
His competitive Walleye Tournament resume consists of several top ten finishes and some first places too! He will show your group a good time and loves to teach people how to be a better hook!
